Legacy Art 1996 - 2002

This is a visual documentation of the Wearable Art that was the mainstay of my income for many years - this particular period (1996 -2002) represents the time I moved from Florida to California and the six plus years I spent there. I apologize for the quality of some of the imagery in this presentation as the digital cameras of that time were not comparable to the quality of today.

This cross-section of that time period shows just a small part of all the works created during those six years - the largest percentage of which was the Wearable Art on Denim. A great deal of this work was created to support various wildlife refuges it has been my privilege to support and/or work with. The Wearable Art has been uniquely qualified for this  type of work due to its visual appeal - by it's very nature it incites comment, which allows the wearer to in turn espouse their chosen cause.

As I have said, this is but a small "cross-section" of all the work that was created during this time period - many of the more popular images were painted many, many times over - my main love as always been Fantasy Art, but as you can see here, the desire (or need) to make a living doing what you do best is not without a price at times - only in the latter years around (around 2000/2001) after 4 straight years of painting nothing but Exotic Wildlife was I able to bring a bit of the Fantasy Art back into my work output - even then it was short-lived, until in 2003 I decided to retire from from the high-volume' Wearable Art market and pursue the Fine Art market and the subjects that fulfill my artistic needs.

I have not forsaken the support of the Wildlife - even today, I support the Wolf Sanctum here in NC.

(*Technical note: All the Wearable Art was created with Golden Fluid Acrylics)
