C.A.R.E. Foundation

Maya What is the C.A.R.E. Foundation?

A small, not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization created by Christin Burford, and staffed by volunteers concerned about the environment and conservation. The basis of the foundation is to provide a safe and permanent home for animals in need, including the hard to place. In addition to the daily maintenance provided, the volunteers also conduct wildlife educational programs in public forums to raise environmental awareness. For many, these programs are the only opportunity some will ever have to see these endangered animals.
Currently there are approximately twenty nine animals on property. Many were abandoned, unwanted, as well as even abused and neglected ex-pets.

What Can I Do?

Quite simply - get involved! There are any number of ways to help; donate money, if you're an Artist obviously you can donate your work for fund raising and other needs, volunteer your time, or just basically spread the word - learn as much as you can about these issues, and help to inform others... change comes from within, so get involved. All too often all we hear are the 'gloom & doom' stories of what we can't do; the C.A.R.E. Foundation is an example of what we CAN do, and this is not an isolated incident - there are many such similar efforts all across the US and the World, so we really CAN make a difference by getting involved!

If you want to get involved with C.A.R.E.
